Types of Ice Cream
Ice cream is a universal treat and is loved in some form or another all around the world. Although ice cream is primarily preferred when it is warm out there are people out there who will eat ice cream in all seasons. The reason for ice cream’s popularity is that it comes in many flavors, tastes great, and is very refreshing. It also comes in many different health profiles with rich yet not so health ice cream on one end of the spectrum and healthy and refreshing ice cream on the other end. The top forms of ice cream are:
Homemade Ice Cream - There is something very special about having homemade ice cream. Homemade ice cream is incredibly rich and flavorful and seeing as it uses fresh dairy it is a treat that is enjoyed by many for its farm fresh taste. Homemade ice cream most commonly comes in a traditional flavor such as chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry.
Rich Store Ice Cream - Rich store bought ice cream has a rich consistency that comes close to homemade ice cream. It is especially loved for the many flavors it is available in including countless exotic flavors.
Healthy/Diet Ice Cream - If you are on a diet this is the perfect refreshing snack. Such ice cream is much lower in fat yet still has a great flavor. Although not as creamy as the other types of ice cream this is an acceptable trade off for those looking to cut calories and fat.
