How to Make Ice Cream

Welcome to our kitchen. This is our lovely host. My assistants and me are going to be making simple chocolate ice cream. We will be using my recipe, of course. This is a mixing bowl and this is a third of a cup of brown sugar.

Place the cocoa powder and sugar in a medium bowl. How much cocoa powder should you use? Two thirds of a cup is enough. Cocoa powder is not very sweet. Stir it with a whisk.

Don’t put the other sugar in yet, first we stir the cocoa powder and sugar with a plastic whisk. Can you zoom in on our cocoa powder and sugar?

Now we are adding our whole milk, from the fridge. How much whole milk? As much as is left or not very much. So, half cup whole milk is about right.

Okay, is this supposed to be making bubbles? Two cups of heavy cream and we’ll just say that’s half-and-half.
This is a beautiful mixture. Now whisk and combine it altogether until it is dissolved.

You look good and you look nice. I feel good.

So this is our Cuisinart. An ice cream machine that I’ve created, myself, from scratch, just like the recipe, and we are about to pour our chocolate ice cream into my invention and make ice cream.

Add half a cup of white sugar. Don’t forget to tune in next week to our frozen yogurt making section of the show. Now we go back into my freezer and get this thing that I invented, the frozen bowl.

You pour the ice cream into the frozen bowl and turn the ice cream machine on. Good thing we have our very handy ice cream catcher.
