Thanks, this was so fun, easy and of course tasty and the real thing is you’re right, you can make it your own. I added chocolate powder from hot chocolate mix and then drizzled caramel on it and it tasted good.

This is stupid. I’ve worked for ice cream companies and there is no “Ice Cream Taster” that gets paid a large salary to decide what tastes good.

Like any food company, this work is either done in house by lab techs working each project or outsourced to sensory companies hiring people to sit in tasting panels. These people get about $20 for a two hour session and can only work every 3 months.

So unless you can live on $60 a year, look for a real job.

Sure! Just put the cooled ice cream mix in a 1-quart ziploc bag, then double bag it. Put ice and salt in a 1-gallon ziploc bag, then add the ice cream mix. Shake it around for 10 minutes or more, until it reaches the hardness you want. Good fun for the kids as well.

Hi, this is very unusual…pumpkin ice cream, whoda thunk it. I’m going to give it a try. Looking for a recipe for hot ice cream balls (don’t even say it) but really they are awesome, it’s a Chinese recipe. I made it once and lost the blasted recipe book.
